The Volkswagen T-Cross has already made an important niche in the European market. But it is not satisfied with just that, and debuts an Active finish to subtract prominence from its rivals. Do you want to know it in depth?
You already know that within Volkswagen’s urban SUVs we have two alternatives: T-Cross -with the MQB-A0 platform- or the T-Roc -based on the MQB A1-. Its philosophy is very different, since the first has a more familiar approach, while the second has a more sporty spirit. In any case, both have the same objective: to compete with such important models as the Fiat 500X, Ford Puma, Hyundai Kona, Kia Stonic, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur, Seat Arona or the imminent Toyota Yaris Cross.
In the case that concerns us today, let’s focus on the Volkswagen T-Cross, as it has featured the “Active” termination. How to distinguish it from its range brothers? Well, externally we can see the darkened windows, chrome elements, new 16-inch Galway alloy wheels and some special logos. Inside we have ambient lighting, brushed stainless steel pedals, exclusive entry guards, digital radio, eight-inch touchscreen multimedia system, ‘Trapeze’ upholstery and a multifunction leather steering wheel.
Have you been wanting more? Well wait, the Volkswagen T-Cross Active 2021 comes with a very interesting endowment: six airbags, ESP with Hill Holder, ISOFIX anchors, heated seats, lane assist, sliding rear bench seat, USB chargers, dual zone climate control, front and rear parking controlor, photosensitive interior mirror, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, speed limiter, SOS call, adjustable boot floor and “Front Assist” system with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists.
At this point, we have to inform you that the new Volkswagen T-Cross Active has started its commercialization in Germany. As we mentioned in a previous article, this model has said goodbye to diesel, which is why it only offers gasoline engines: the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 95 or 110 hp -the latter with optional DSG box- and the powerful four-cylinder 1.5 TSI with 150 hp -always with the seven-speed automatic transmission-.
We still do not know if this Volkswagen T-Cross Active 2021 will reach the Spanish market. But do not worry, because from Autofácil we will provide you with all the news that will be presented in the next few dates.
