The Toyota Camry range will receive a small update with the arrival of the new 2021 model. Among the various innovations, we will find slight aesthetic changes, changes in the structure of the range, and the release of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite, with elements of improved security.
The American division of Toyota has just presented the first images and data of the new 2021 range of the Toyota Camry, which will receive a series of improvements with the release of the new model 2021. These developments are minor and do not affect the mechanical or frame configuration of the model, but they mean the release of new items of equipment and a change in the composition of the range that is marketed in the US market.
In principle these developments have only been confirmed for the North American market, however, the Toyota Camry that we can find in European dealerships is a slightly modified derivative of the American variant of the sedan. The European spec version is virtually indistinguishable from the American Camry Hybrid, which is also manufactured together at the same plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. So it will be expected that the European range will also release news soon.
The main novelty of the new 2021 range of the Japanese sedan is the premiere of the new suite of safety systems Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. It has an improved camera and radar to offer a better response even in low light conditions. This suite includes systems such as emergency steering assistance or adaptive cruise control that includes steering control. This new suite will be released in Camry 2021 but later it will be available for other models from the Japanese firm.
As for the aesthetic modifications, we are only going to find slight changes in some versions, such as the finishes on the grilles or the configuration of the new access versions, since the Toyota Camry L base disappears and in its place, we now find as the first step in the range the new Camry LE. Another novelty is the Camry XSE Hybrid, a new version that has a more sporty aesthetic thanks to its grilles with elements in gloss black and matching 19-inch wheels, as well as new leather linings inside.
The range of gasoline engines remains unchanged, so we continue to find the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and the 3.5-liter V6, 205 and 305 hp, respectively, in addition to the hybrid version, the only one we find on the market. European and which is made up of the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor with a combined total power of 218 hp.
In the cabin, we also find news, since now customers are going to have a new floating type central screen, which can be 7 or 9 inches, in addition to a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a huge 10-head-up display inches. The total number of options depending on the mechanical versions and the different levels of equipment in the range rises to 17.
