The new Pininfarina Battista appears to be reaching its final stage of development. This is demonstrated by the latest images that come to us from the Nardo high-speed circuit. The first deliveries will take place throughout 2021.
He Pininfarina Battista was presented in the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. The first creation of the young Italian company is a radical 100% electric hypercar. This amazing machine shares many of its elements with the Rimac Concept Two, heralds a power of 1,926 hp and one total autonomy of 450 kilometers. Its production is limited to only 150 units.
After several months with no news from the Battista, we have just received new images confirming that the Italian bodybuilder’s hypercar enters its final phase of development. And it is that the transalpine company has shared several photographs of the high-speed tests that it has been carrying out at the Nardo circuit (Italy). This track, in the form of banked oval, consists of 12.6 kilometers long It has been owned by Porsche since 2012. It is one of the few places on the planet where it is safe to drive over 400 km / h. With all this, it turns out a perfect location to test the performance of the new Italian hypercar.
Despite the camouflage that completely covers the car, Pininfarina Automobili claims that the test concept was equipped with a fully functional interior, keeping it as close to a production model as possible. Former Formula 1 driver Nick Heidfeld and Rene Wollman have actively participated in the development of the car..
Remember that under its body, built 100% in carbon fiber, the Pininfarina Battista equips a 100% electric propulsion system consisting of four motors, one on each wheel, which develop a total combined power of 1,926 hp and 2,300 Nm of maximum torque. This system is powered by the energy stored in a 120 kWh battery that, according to Automobili Pininfarina, will power the Battista de 0 to 100 km / h in less than two seconds. Although figures have not yet been officially revealed, the Italian hypercar could reach a maximum speed over 350 km / h. In turn, it offers a range of up to 450 kilometers.
All under a very attractive silhouette that presents the typical DNA of Italian supercars and that takes care of the aerodynamics of the whole. How could it be otherwise, the interior is equipped with the latest technology and offers a wide range of customization possibilities to make each unit even more exclusive.
The price of the new Pininfarina Battista is around 2 million pounds, which in exchange is 2.2 million euros. Among its rivals we find models such as the Lotus Evija, the Rimac Concept Two and the Bugatti Chiron.
