Developed by Peugeot Sport, the 508 Sport Engineered, also available in the SW version, uses a plug-in hybrid propulsion system that allows it to develop no less than 360 hp of power.

Who said plug-in hybrids were boring? With the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered, the lion brand has just introduced the next generation of electrified sports cars thanks, among other things, to the combination of a plug-in hybrid powertrain and the latest innovations in performance.

More information about the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered

Aesthetically, the Sport Engineered has an exclusive image. Thanks to 3D printing technology, it presents new elements such as the calender, which is now sharper. For its part, the front bumper has larger air intakes. All this is completed with 20 ” specific alloy wheels designed to promote brake cooling.

Inside, the design of the standard versions is maintained, with the i-Cockpit as a central element. The differences are given by a 10 ” screen and a digital instrument panel with a 12.3 ” screen that have exclusive graphics. On the other hand, the steering wheel sports the three claws of the Sport Engineered range in green. A color that also accompanies other elements to give the interior of this 508 a more dynamic appearance.

From 0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds

Under the hood is a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines the PureTech 200 petrol block and two electric drives housed on each axle. The result is a 360 hp total power and a maximum torque of 520 Nm of torque. Thanks to its all-wheel drive system, it is capable of doing 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds and reaching 250 km / h of top speed.

With a 11.5 kWh capacity battery, is able to go up to 42 kilometers in zero emissions mode. This is worth it to obtain the ZERO label from the DGT that allows, among other things, free access to central areas, even in episodes of high pollution.

The 508 Sport Engineered can now be ordered in the brand’s dealer network at a price that starts from the 62,200 euros and the 63,400 euros for the SW version.
