The Ford Bronco Sport was leaked! The crossover, which was long traded as “Baby Bronco”, looks like the coming generation of its big brother, but technically the two go their separate ways. While the Bronco off-road vehicle will be on its platform, the Bronco Sport has to be content with tried and tested technology from the Ford Escape (in this country Ford Kuga).
Bronco Sport is reminiscent of Defender
The leaked pictures show the Bronco Sport with the bonnet open. The front looks pretty closed and has a big Bronco lettering in the grille. The headlights are installed behind large glasses and, in addition to a circular daytime running light, also have a luminous clip that extends into the grille.
On the side, the new Bronco Sport is somewhat reminiscent of the current Land Rover Defender, and the city bronco also adopts the C-pillar design of the Ford Explorer. The rear seems very horizontal. The tailgate could be divided into two and also allow the rear window to be opened individually. In the middle, there is also a large Bronco lettering, plus the name suffix Sport!
Motors like in Escape in Bronco Sport
How it looks with the engines of the Bronco Sport is not yet known. However, the crossover will probably also use the Escape drive. There should also be a plug-in hybrid. A 2.5-liter in-line four-cylinder in combination with an electric motor would also work here in the Bronco. The Bronco Sport will probably be presented a few weeks after the normal Ford Bronco. It is unlikely that Bronco Sport will also come to Germany.
