The next Mazda CX-5 is expected to appear in 2021. While no information is yet known about the price, trailer load, or trunk of the SUV, we already know a lot more about the drive.
A first illustration shows the new edition of the Mazda CX-5, which will very likely roll to the dealer in 2021 and will remain true to its very successful predecessor. It is a logical consequence since Mazda is not planning a successor for the 6-series station wagon. Accordingly, the CX-5 will have to assume the responsibility to meet the requirements of a family car in the future.
In addition to the dimensions, the grille should also enlarge slightly, whereas the headlights are likely to become even grimmer and narrower due to the ever-smaller LED technology. The compact SUV should not only convince with a chic design, but also with technical sophistication. It is not for nothing that practical qualities such as the highest possible trailer load or a suitably large trunk are particularly in demand.

Unlike the current model, the Mazda CX-5 (2021) will no longer be available with front-wheel drive but with rear-wheel drive (optional all-wheel drive).
In the future, longitudinal motors will be found under the hood instead of transverse. 48-volt mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology as well as the Skyactiv-X combustion process developed by Mazda are intended to further reduce consumption. The price is not yet known but is likely to be based on that of the predecessor, which is currently on the list with 26,990 euros.
