Hyundai is already working on the mid-cycle update that will soon undergo its well-known seven-seater SUV. The Hyundai Santa Fe will be updated as these spy photos demonstrate. It will reach dealerships in the first half of the next year 2021.
Hyundai’s D-segment SUV will be updated. The current generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe hit dealerships in the second half of 2018. Since then, this seven-seater SUV has remained unchanged. A situation that will change in the face of next year. The Korean manufacturer has started the development of a major mid-cycle update.
That’s right, the Hyundai Santa Fe that we can currently find in dealerships will be updated with a relevant facelift with which it will debut many new features. Also, this update will allow the fourth generation of the Santa Fe to face the rest of the commercial life that lies ahead. This update will play a leading role in the most immediate future of this model.
The prototype of the new Santa Fe 2021 sighted has been hunted in northern Europe. The Korean brand is located in the Scandinavia region completing the all-important winter tests. There the different mechanics that this model will incorporate are put to the limit and, logically, the general behavior of the vehicle in extreme conditions is also checked.
Aesthetically there will be changes. That is why the exterior of the hunted prototype presents a significant amount of camouflage. The news will focus on the front and rear. It will adopt various features that will allow it to adapt to the new design language that Hyundai is applying to its new models. A philosophy that will become especially evident when the new generation of the Hyundai Tucson arrives on the market.
Regarding the mechanical section, there will be important news. In addition to a selection of gasoline and diesel engines in which the 48-volt semi-hybrid technology (MHEV) will be evident, there will be as a great novelty a plug-in hybrid version (PHEV). It will still be possible to buy a Santa Fe with manual or automatic transmission, as well as front and/or all-wheel drive.
When will it hit the market? For now, there is no definite date for the presentation of the new Hyundai Santa Fe. However, it is not ruled out that it will enter the scene sometime in the second half of this year. In any case, to see it in the dealerships we will have to wait until 2021.
