A week ago Bentley announced the update of the Bentayga so that it would become the first car launched under the brand’s new Beyond100 business strategy whose main objective is to place the English entity in the world leader in sustainable luxury mobility. Well, the day marked on the calendar has arrived and we already know all the details of this restyling.
The Bentayga will continue to be one of the fastest, most luxurious, and versatile SUVs thanks to a comprehensive selection of seat and powertrain configurations, including a plug-in hybrid. The new Bentayga is based on the popularity of the first-generation model of which more than 20,000 units have already been manufactured.
The truth is that the Bentayga established the benchmark luxury SUV in 2016. Now, Bentley raises the bar even further with an updated version to put its best-selling model at the height of its latest releases, be it the Continental GT or the Flying Spur. To ensure that the Rolls-Royce Cullinan’s rival is not left behind by both its competitors and its siblings, modifications to its aesthetics bring it in line with the company’s current design language.
Although the front part looks more or less the same, there is a great surprise behind the British SUV, as Bentley has incorporated oval-shaped rear lights with LED technology, which closely resemble those used in the Continental GT, thus like a new hatchback, some oval exhausts and a license plate that changes its position to be located on the bumper. If we go back to the front, we find some panels that have been redesigned to offer a cleaner and more modern appearance. The bumper is more aggressive, the grille grows in size, and the headlamps are inspired by carved glassware. Also, the wheels feature a novel design.

Just as important is the technological review inside. Today’s car infotainment system is often criticized for feeling outdated, especially when compared to its German cousins from Audi and Porsche. That is why the main priority has been to incorporate a new unit, with a 10.9-inch touch screen and wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a steering wheel from the Continental GT and Flying Spur, new trims on the doors and completely new seats.
Regarding the rear seats, the brand says that the Bentayga has gained 10 centimeters of the knee room. The seats now have ventilation in a five-seat configuration. Additionally, the SUV introduces a new control panel with a larger touchscreen, similar to that used in the Flying Spur. USB-C jacks and a wireless smartphone charger are included as standard, as well as a SIM card that powers connected services.
In the mechanical section, there is no news, so that the same propellers used to date are still present. The most decaffeinated option is a 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo block that develops 550 horsepower, followed by a 6.0-liter W12 with 635 hp, which will bring the Speed version to life. The range is completed with a pluggable hybrid of 450 CV.
